At UK Events Crew, we know that incredible events are built by incredible people. As a people-centered business, we don’t just focus on delivering high-quality event crew—we prioritise the well-being of our team, our clients, and the wider events industry.

Each year, we pledge to select a charity partner to support, ensuring we give back to causes that truly matter. For 2025, we’re incredibly proud to announce that our official charity partner is Andy’s Man Club, an inspiring organisation dedicated to supporting men’s mental health.

Why Mental Health Matters in the Events Industry

The events industry is fast-paced, high-energy, and can be incredibly rewarding—but it also comes with unique challenges. Long hours, high-pressure environments, and irregular working patterns can take a toll on mental health. Many crew members, freelancers, and event professionals work unpredictable schedules, often dealing with physical exhaustion and time away from their families.

Despite the growing awareness of mental health, men in particular often struggle to reach out for support. The statistics speak for themselves—suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK. The stigma around opening up remains a huge barrier, making it harder for those struggling to seek help.

That’s why Andy’s Man Club is such an important organisation. Their free, peer-to-peer support groups provide a safe space for men to talk about their mental health without judgment. Their mission is simple but powerful:

"It's okay to talk."

At UK Events Crew, we want to be part of the change. We recognise that many of our crew members and colleagues in the industry face mental health challenges, and we’re committed to fostering a culture of support, openness, and well-being.

Who Are Andy’s Man Club?

Founded in 2016, Andy’s Man Club was created to provide men with a space to speak freely about their struggles. The organisation was started in memory of Andy Roberts, a young man who tragically took his own life at just 23 years old. His family and friends wanted to prevent other men from suffering in silence, so they created a place where open conversations about mental health were not just encouraged but welcomed.

Today, Andy’s Man Club operates free support groups across the UK, with thousands of men attending each week. The charity has grown into a nationwide movement, spreading the message that talking saves lives.

How UK Events Crew Is Supporting Andy’s Man Club in 2025

Throughout the year, UK Events Crew will be working closely with Andy’s Man Club to raise awareness, funds, and support for men’s mental health. Our partnership will involve:

🔹 Fundraising Initiatives & Charity Events

We’ll be organising a series of fundraising events, from sponsored challenges to family fun days. Whether it’s through marathons, cycling events, or crew-led activities, we’ll be encouraging our team and industry peers to get involved and support the cause.

🔹 Mental Health Awareness in the Events Industry

Using our platforms, including LinkedIn, our website, and social media channels, we’ll be helping spread awareness about men’s mental health and breaking down the stigma. We’ll be sharing real stories, expert advice, and practical resources to ensure that conversations around mental well-being become part of everyday life.

🔹 Creating a Supportive Crew Culture

We want to ensure that our own team knows that mental health matters. That means fostering a work environment where crew members feel supported, valued, and encouraged to talk. We’ll be providing information about Andy’s Man Club to all our crew members and signposting them to available resources.

🔹 Donating a Percentage of Our Profits

As part of our commitment, a percentage of our profits from selected events will be donated to Andy’s Man Club, helping them expand their reach and support even more men across the UK.

Why This Partnership Matters

At UK Events Crew, we believe that strong teams are built on trust, communication, and support. The events industry is a tight-knit community, and we want to play our part in ensuring that those who work tirelessly behind the scenes feel seen, valued, and supported—not just physically, but mentally too.

By supporting Andy’s Man Club, we’re not just fundraising; we’re championing a message that could save lives. We want to encourage open conversations, provide support, and help make the events industry a place where people feel comfortable talking about their struggles.
