Role Summary
Position: Technical & Scenic Production Manager
Starting Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 per annum (based on experience)
Location: Lincoln Workshop (9 miles from Lincoln City Centre) and Onsite
Relocation Package Options Negotiable
Role Overview
As Technical & Scenic Production Manager, you will take responsibility for the planning, management and delivery of a range of live event and technical projects, ensuring UK Events Crew continues to deliver industry-leading standards across every project.
Your remit will include (but is not limited to):

Production Builds & Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of production builds and on-site delivery.

Commercial Accountability: Deliver projects that generate profit annually through effective management, procurement, and project execution.

Stage Hires, Equipment Installs & Specialist Technical Projects: Oversee delivery quality and ensure health and safety compliance.

Workshop & Technical Equipment: Maintain oversight of the workshop, manage stock and equipment, and ensure all assets are serviced, logged, and correctly deployed.

Training & Upskilling Crew: Identify training needs and lead the upskilling of team members, promoting a positive learning environment aligned with company standards.

Client Liaison, Crew Chief & Site Visits: Conduct site visits, prepare quotes, and represent UK Events Crew during client meetings, crew shifts and first-day inductions to ensure exceptional client experience and confidence.

Design & Specification: Support creative and technical design of projects, ensuring practical feasibility, safety, and cost efficiency.

Operational Leadership: Act as senior management cover during absence of other executives and contribute to weekly management meetings and planning sessions.

Crisis & Emergency Response: Provide on-call support in the event of operational emergencies to maintain business continuity.

Crew Leadership: Demonstrate and deliver on the job leadership, setting the example for other crew chiefs and crew members.

Working Arrangements
This is an office, workshop, and site-based role with flexibility built around operational needs. Normal working hours are 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, with additional weekend or evening work as required during event delivery periods.

In return, we require a degree of flexibility to deliver the priorities of UK Events Crew.
Due to the nature of the live events industry, this may occasionally involve changes to work schedules, hours, or location of work to meet client or project requirements.
While it is not possible to prescribe every situation in which flexibility may be needed, both the Company and the Employee agree to operate with a mutual understanding of fairness, respect, and compassion. The Company will always seek to provide reasonable notice of any changes and to accommodate personal circumstances wherever practicable, and in return, the Employee is expected to demonstrate a proactive and positive commitment to the operational needs of the business.

Place of Work
Your primary place of work will be UK Events Crew HQ (outside Lincoln), the Workshop, and various onsite event locations across the UK as required.
